According to the report, Dias will no longer serve as a teaching assistant of Real Madrid U17, although he just took office in July this year.
Several people familiar with the matter who did not want to be named said that after finding the letter from Dias to Barcelona, the senior Real Madrid made the decision to dismiss him. Dias held different youth coach positions in Barcelona from 2015 to 2019.
In the letter, Dias expressed his love and gratitude to Barcelona. Barcelona once supported Dias’s mother during the difficult period of cancer.
Real Madrid is expected to pay Dias full salary as compensation. He signed a one-year contract with Real Madrid this summer.
When contacting TA, a Real Madrid youth training source denied the statement that Dias would be fired. He claimed that Diaz himself decided to leave and sought a job opportunity in the lyganes youth training camp of West B team.
However, other sources who knew about this matter strongly questioned this statement, saying that the possibility of Dias joining Leganes was only arranged by Real Madrid to ease the blow of his dismissal.
